My Approach to Therapy
I specialize in working with teens and adults who are facing trauma, grief, loss, and addiction. Life can change quickly. Loss, betrayal, trauma, and ongoing stress can have a lasting effect on your well-being. Over time, carrying this pain alone may affect your confidence, relationships, and sense of stability.
Therapy can give you space to slow down and process what has happened. It can also help you heal at your own pace. Grief and trauma do not follow a set timeline. At times, you may cope by staying busy or avoiding what feels too difficult. However, you do not have to face these challenges alone.
Supporting Your Healing
I believe strongly in personal choice and the ability to make decisions about your own life. You know yourself best. My role is to walk alongside you while offering caring support, guidance, and helpful tools. Together, we can explore your strengths and build healthy ways to cope. We can also talk about what healing means to you. In addition, we can create a path forward that feels meaningful, realistic, and right for your needs.
Counseling Services
I provide mental health and substance use assessments, as well as personalized treatment planning. I also offer individual counseling both in person and through telehealth. My approach is client-centered, trauma-informed, and collaborative. In addition, I use several proven therapy approaches. These include EMDR, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and sand tray therapy.
These approaches can help you work through trauma, grief, addiction, depression, anxiety, and major life changes. Depending on your needs, we can choose tools that support your goals and help you move forward.
Experience and Recovery Support
With more than 28 years of experience in social work, mental health services, and addiction, I bring a wide range of experience to my work. I focus on trauma recovery, grief and loss, and substance use concerns that may occur alongside mental health challenges.
I also use recovery-focused and harm-reduction approaches. This means I meet you where you are and respect your readiness for change. As a result, therapy can move at a pace that feels comfortable and supportive for you.
Moving Forward
Healing does not mean forgetting what happened. Instead, it can mean learning how to carry your experiences in a new way. With the right support, you can build greater confidence, develop healthy coping skills, and create a path toward healing and growth.

About Me
I am a Licensed Master Social Worker who is passionate about helping people manage life’s challenges and improve their mental well-being. I enjoy supporting teens and adults who are dealing with anxiety, grief, depression, and other life stressors.
My Experience
I have worked with teens and adults in many settings. My experience includes mental and behavioral health services, as well as the criminal justice system. Through this work, I have gained a better understanding of the challenges people face. Most importantly, I have learned how much caring and respectful support can help.
I have also supported people who face major health concerns, including chronic illness. Because of these experiences, I understand how important emotional support and healthy coping skills can be. These skills can also play an important role in overall well-being.
