Level 1: Foundations of Sandtray Therapy
Please complete the registration form below to reserve your place in this Level One training.
Level 1 is an introductory course designed for mental health professionals who want to incorporate the powerful, expressive modality of Sandtray Therapy into their clinical practice. Appropriate for work with children, adolescents, and adults, this experiential training provides participants with a strong foundation in the principles, philosophy, and clinical application of Sandtray Therapy.
Through hands-on learning with individual sandtrays and miniature figures, participants will explore the therapeutic process, develop foundational skills, and gain a deeper understanding of creating a safe, “free and protected” therapeutic space. While Sandtray Therapy is frequently integrated with play therapy, the principles learned in this training are applicable across a variety of therapeutic settings and populations.
No previous experience with Sandtray Therapy or play therapy is required.
This training is approved as a Texas Sandtray Association (TSTA) Level One course and provides 12 contact hours over two days.
